Ancient Moorish property, high up by the castle, close to the best beaches in Andalucia
Ancient Moorish property in Spain Vejer de la Frontera, close to the finest beaches in Andalucia - set up high by the castle, with commanding views across the town to the Atlantic and Africa beyond
Vejer de la Frontera, is one of the most beautiful and best preserved historic fortified towns on the Iberian Peninsula. The house itself is situated in a pedestrian only district by the castle, close but just far enough away from the plentiful bars and restaurants, which are a short distance from the property.
This centuries old casa, has an abundance of old world Spanish charm and character. It is constructed around a private patio courtyard, with a shaded seating area and a stone arched hallway leading out to the steep cobbled steps on the street outside.
On the ground floor there is a spacious authentic Andaluz kitchen and a wine cellar, which is hewn from the rock. Enjoy a feast in the Medieval style dining room, then adjourn upstairs to dance the Fandango in the retro lounge, very funky! or relax on the grand roof terrace with stunning panoramic views in every direction.
Sleep tight in either the rustic penthouse or the grand room with the Gothic oak bed, after enjoying a nightcap or two in Andalucia's most stunning hill top town.
Buses are direct from each airport town centre, but this might involve staying over night when you arrive. There are local buses to the beach and other towns, but they are few and far between.
