about the property

One of the best views in Krakow, Poland, from this Krakow holiday apartment in Krakow Old Town. This Krakow holiday rental has WIFI and allows dogs, and has one the best locations in town – short walks to all the sights including the Market Square and Kazimierz Jewish Quarter.

We fell in love at first sight with Kraków; we think it is one of greatest cities in Europe, and the world. The Old Town seems virtually untouched by modern times, and you get a feeling for what much of Europe must have looked like before the destruction of WWII. It is safe, friendly, and has an relaxed atmosphere. Come and see for yourself; we've yet to hear of any visitor that didn't love the place. It also gets 4 times as many sunny days a year as the UK (around 200 compared to 54) and magical, bright snowy winters. Here's why we think you'll like it.

After a long search for a flat with a great view in the Old Town we came across, purchased and renovated our apartment near the Wawel castle. See inside this Krakow Old Town apartment. It has a traditional Polish tiled stove, oak parquet floor, and fantastic views across the roofs to the Royal Wawel castle complex. The flat is perfectly located between the Rynek (main Market Square) and Kazimierz (the Bohemian old Jewish quarter) where you'll probably do most of your drinking and dining). Nowhere will take you long to walk to from here, and you'll hardly have need to take advantage of the excellent public transport. This was the main home of Greg (utt's founder), so be assured of a peacefully-located flat renovated to a high quality in the best part of town.

Once you've explored the monuments, museums, parks and art collections of the Old Town head out for daytrips to the world famous Wieliczka salt mines, the astounding Tatra mountains or make a pilgrimage to the Auschwitz memorial. If you're coming from the UK or America you'll be amazed at the great value here, the quality (and price) of the food and drink, and the local culture. Poland is a remarkable country, and wonderful people; come and be our guest!

Guests might like to consider a two centre holiday - here, and also down to our log mountain house about 80 mins drive away- great for skiing and summer walks.

Amazing top floor apartment full of character with a fantastic view, we fell asleep every night (in a very comfortable bed) looking at the castle. The location is perfect being on the edge of the old town and with everything within easy walking distance. Would highly recommend the 1950s apartment to anyone.

We love the design and style of this peaceful apartment . It is very clean and so quiet both day and night. We've done many of the popular trips (Auschwitz, Salt Mines, Schindler's Factory) and walked miles here in the Old Town. We've enjoyed our third UTT stay - thanks for having us! - Sharon & Paul, London

The location of this apartment is terrific; a quiet residential street but only 10 minutes walk to Krakow's historic central square. The 50s vibe of the flat is cool and funky and skylights in the kitchen and bathroom give those rooms a nice bright and airy feel. The apartment is on the fourth floor which can be a bit of an effort after a busy day's sight seeing - so be warned! We had a great time in Krakow and hope to return. David and Nigel

My oh My! I had heard that Krakow was a wonderful city to visit but it has exceeded our expectations on all levels. The apartment was everything we'd hoped for, and its location in the Old Town is just the icing on the cake. Thanks for making it such an easy booking! It is a beautifully appointed flat. We have visited Paris, Bruges, Venice and Stockholm, but it is with Krakow that we have fallen in love. We will be back soon! Nicholas & Jennifer

“We had an excellent stay at this apartment. It is everything that the pictures promise, including the view of the castle. You can even hear the bugle play from St Mary's church on the hour! The location is really perfect, within a short walk of the old town, Kazimierz and the central station. The street is quiet and since the apartment is high up and facing the backyard you are pretty much guaranteed a quiet sleep. There are many steps up to the apartment but we did not mind. The kitchen has a complete inventory, the apartment was clean, and all practical things like towels, dish washing liquid, soap etc are included. The owner responded prompt to our enquiries and we liked the arrangement with the key pick-up from the little key box at the entrance as that gives freedom regarding arrival time. We recommend staying at the apartment and we would try to stay here again if we come again to Krakow!” Susanne B. from Trondheim, Norway

“This spot was fantastic! I have to be honest, that I wasn't really sure about the Decor when reviewing the pictures, but when we arrived and saw it in person it really was quite amazing. The building itself is from the 19th century and the condo was fully revamped and modernized with a retro look. As the condo is on the top floor the sky lights in the Kitchen and Bathroom was a really nice change from staying in hotels. The view of the castle at night from the room was truly beautiful. Owner was a very helpful and responsive host and I would recommend that anyone visiting Krakow should stay at this place!” Natalie Peacock from Burlington, Canada

“Great apartment in a great neighbourhood with lots of restaurants. To get into the apartment you need a pin-code - so do remember to take it with you! All in all it was just wonderful. Krakow is definitely worth a visit. ” Christian from Berlin

"The apartment was clean and tidy on arrival, and there were spare towels laid out and available. the kitchen was clean and functional. and the bed and the sofa bed were comfortable to sleep on. there was a nice view of Wawel castle from the window. the area we stayed in was quiet but just minutes from all places of interest in Krakow. the bathroom was well presented and the shower was functional. During a storm the wifi router broke but the owner arranged speedy replacement." Peter B.

“The flat is in a great area close to the old town and Jewish quarter, you can walk everywhere. Very well decorated too! It is high up so you get fit walking up and down the stairs (my father found it a bit hard given he is a smoker & needed to go down to the garden all the time.) We had a great time, thank you!”Emily, Australia

“Charming, painstakingly detailed stylish, modern flat in an ideal location in Krakow. The flat was better even than the pictures, with amazing furnishings and a view of Wawel castle. It is located just between the old town and Kazimierz, with an easy walk to either neighborhood - we found the location to be ideal. Very quiet at night, felt very safe. Bathroom was very clean with good shower water pressure and temp. It's located up several flights of stairs, though this should not be a problem for most guests. Owner was very helpful and communicative throughout the booking process and I would definitely recommend a stay at this flat!” Michael from Seattle

“Really great stay and I can only imagine up there with the best of Krakow Note that check-in isn't until 4 which i didn't initially see. But I contacted owner last minute and he was incredibly helpful accommodating my earlier arrival The apartment is well equipped, tastefully furnished and comfortable. It is also very peaceful and the checkin/out process is very simple. Location couldn't be better if, like me, you have an interest in various parts of the city. Minutes North and you are in the charming old town (Stare Miasto), minutes South East you are in interesting and vibrant eating/bar/Jewish district (Kazimierz), and a little beyond that over the river the budding art district (MOCAK leading the way). Hugely under rated city that should be better known and this is the only place i would stay on return ” James Jamieson

'The design style enhanced our stay in his wonderful Krakow flat. The apartment truly is perfectly located (even our Uber driver said so). The apartment is small but spacious enough for my daughter and I to find our own spots for reading/texting. The view of the castle is beautiful to enjoy during the day and especially lit up at night. The warning for the 5 flights of stairs should be taken seriously but we managed even with two suitcases and carry-all bags. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all of our friends.' Ann from Sacramento, California

"The flat was a wonderful choice! Great interior, beautiful view and all you may need for a nice stay In Kraków. 'We stayed in this 4th floor flat for 5 nights and it was part of a wonderful holiday in Kraków. The flat is everything as described by the owner... and is in a fabulous part of the Old Town with everything within walking distance. The view of Wawel Castle and the sounds of the cathedral bells were magical. The bed was extremely comfortable - all the furnishings were tasteful and it is decorated so well. The booking was very easy - owner was great at responding to emails - we loved it so much, we have recommended it to family and will stay here again the next time we visit this beautiful city. “What a delightful apartment to stay at! The apartment is ideally located between the old city and Kazimierz in a quiet part of town. The market square is just a 10 minute walk away. The same goes for Kazimierz. It is both tastefully and comfortably decorated. The description we received beforehand was both clear and complete. I would definitely stay at this place during a next visit to Krakow.” Tom from Denmark

I have nothing but absolute praise for this pad. Communication with Greg was a pleasure. Arrived and found it very easily. The flat is at the top of a tall building, a good 8 flights of steps to climb, not a problem but perhaps not suitable for those with mobility issues. The flat itself is every bit as impressive as it looks in the photos. Amazing views overlook Krakow Old Town. Location wise, perfect. Max 10 mins walk to the Old Square in one direction and the Jewish Qtr in the other. Really great value and I would highly recommend it. Thanks Greg for making our first trip to Krakow a memorable one.
