Hafod - with pool

about the property

A luxury holiday rental property in Gaillac region of SW France, with pool. This property is of a very high standard in the Gaillac wine region.

Hafod: no expense has been spared in creating a large, very comfortable home that is beautiful inside and out. A perfect place to relax and unwind amongst the rural idyll of South-West France. On the one side are the rolling hills of the Gaillac wine region, whilst to the front of the house, uninterrupted panoramic views as far as the Pyrénées. You will enjoy beautiful sunsets and glimpses of seven spires in distant villages.

Hafod is a substantial detached property standing on its own with private views. It has three good-sized bedrooms, plenty of reception rooms, and can comfortably sleep six people. There is a well-equipped kitchen, dining room, summer room, snug and sitting room. There are antiques in abundance, and the owners' eclectic taste and style combine to create a very special house. There are two bathrooms - both have a shower and bath.

The swimming pool (open 31st May to 31st Oct) with electric cover, overlooks the farmland that surrounds the house and is separated from the field below by a simple 'ha-ha' so that you feel that you are in open landscape.

Hafod also boasts its own full-size billiard table (for adults only) and you are welcome to use the 6 bikes that are available at the property.

customer reviews for Hafod - with pool

Fabulous house with great feel to it. Beautifully furnished and equipped. Spent a considerable time in the vast pool staying cool. Explored the fascinating villages and towns around and about, including the beautiful Lautrec Museum in Albi (for me) and the Space museum in Toulouse (for my boys but which I too found phenomenally interesting!) Great kayaking on the Tarn, but best of all - languorous family feasts and card games around the wonderful indoor or outdoor dining tables. Very tempted to return in the winter, as plenty of great woodburners throughout the house, so can imagine it being very cosy. Ideal for sampling the local wines. Just perfect!

Wow! This is a stunning house! We felt like we were in French heaven. There are lots of things to do in this beautiful part of France, but the real highlight of the holiday for us was being in Hafod itself. It is a stylish, well-designed retreat. Every aspect of the house and garden has been thoughtfully planned and considered. There so many delightful choices of places to sit and relax, both inside and outside, either to enjoy the sunshine or to take shelter in the shade. The bedrooms and bathrooms are incredibly stylish and comfortable. The furniture and furnishings are beautiful and create a mellow, peaceful feel. We're already thinking about when we can return to this special place. Keri, Paul and Joe, July 2016

What a fabulous place! Beautiful setting, gorgeous decor, insanely well equipped kitchen and fantastic pool - the house just works so well and is wonderfully relaxing. We had a brilliant week eating, swimming, exploring Gaillac, Albi and around - our main problem was tearing the children away from the pool. ;-)

Hafod was an absolutely beautiful house to stay in , I would definitely go there again , it's in a stunning part of France , surrounded by sunflower fields and the views from the pool & garden were second to none ! The interior decor was amazing but totally in keeping with the french rustic feel of the original building , we loved it.
