Trehilyn, Pembrokeshire
The Trehilyn estate on Pen Caer / Strumble Head in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is one of the most beautifully conserved and appointed collections of luxury holiday cottages in Wales. Restored by broadcaster and writer Griff Rhys Jones and family there's a choice of beautifully curated and authentically renovated cottages with a choice of interiors styles from traditional to contemporary. For a large group book Ffermdy Trehilyn (the main farmhouse in red limewash), or for real luxury head to Granar Trehilyn. Bwthyn Trehilyn is the most popular of all and sits across the track from modernist Melin Trehilyn - the choice of architects and designers. Couples often head to Beudy Trehilyn (actually sleeps 3) with a lovely private garden and views. The restoration of the farm complex was the subject of the BBC TV series 'A Pembrokeshire Farm' (and 'Return to a Pembrokeshire Farm') that have been shown on BBC Wales, BBC 2, BBC 4, and around the world. It really is a special place, and among the very best Welsh holiday cottages.
