Located on the highly desirable Dale Peninsula in Pembrokeshire, Tŷ Gin (the Gin House, named for the ‘ginnys’ (donkeys) that once lived here) offers huge, open views of the Pembrokeshire countryside. This is the part of Pembrokeshire that everyone wants to be in, and this is a wonderful family-friendly barn. Stay here to be very near many of the best beaches in Wales - Marloes, Musselwick, Broad Haven, Little Haven, and Sandy Haven can all be reached in under 20 minutes, so you can choose a different family-friendly beach every day of your holiday. You’re effectively surrounded by the sea on three sides, and you’ll likely also visit the famous local towns of Tenby and St David’s.
The 1754-built barn and its annexe are privately located in their own garden away from the Georgian country house that they once serviced. It’s a large, comfortable detached property with a lovely garden and country views. The main house sleeps x6 in three bedrooms (each with its own bathroom) and the garden annexe sleeps a further x4 in two rooms which share one shower room (so the property overall accommodates 10 in five rooms, with 4 bathrooms). The annexe is only made available when more than x3 stay.

Reviews

Caroline C,

2026

We stayed at Ty Gin for a long weekend break with a group of nine adults and three dogs celebrating a quiet 60th birthday. It was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The main property has many positives. All bedrooms were en-suite, which worked extremely well for a group our size. The house was peaceful, warm, clean, and clearly a good-quality conversion that has been thoughtfully and well appointed throughout. There was convenient parking, including the welcome bonus of an electric vehicle charging point. Storage space in the fridges was generous, and the welcoming bottle of wine, coffee and chocolates on arrival was a really lovely touch. The layout provided plenty of space for socialising without feeling cramped, and the standard of cleanliness and comfort was high. There were only a few minor points to note. The downstairs ensuites do not have an overhead shower, which may be inconvenient for some guests. There were not quite enough dining chairs for nine people to sit around the table together. It would be nice to have tea making facilities in the Bothy for those sleeping in there. Finally, the lane leading to and from the house has a number of potholes, making access quite hazardous, particularly in poor light and for those with low suspension cars. Ty Gin is a warm, spacious, and well-equipped property that we would happily recommend, especially for larger groups looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

A great, comfortable and clean location with ample room! Amazing and cosy area and would love to come back again. Perfect for large families or friends.

Tŷ Gin proved a smart choice to celebrate a birthday in murky November. Not your usual cosy holiday home, more a beautiful, spacious , up market cottage that showed meticulous planning and presentation. We did have one dry day and it was great to paddle in nearby Dale. It was a pity that The Griffin was closed. I think that some lobster would have rounded off a lovely visit to Pembrokeshire!

Ty Gin is a wonderful spacious house. The location is perfect. The garden is dog proof. It is fitted to a high standard so very comfortable. We had a great time visiting Skomer, St. David's and the lovely beaches surrounding us.

Spacious, very well equipped, attractive and peaceful property. Having the bothy as an extra separate space was brilliant as we had a young baby with us! We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Blair B,

We had a lovely stay at the Gin House, secluded enough to feel like we were really getting away and close enough to great walks and towns that we were able to explore. The kitchen was stocked with supplies and it was nice to have games available in the snug as well as a cozy fire place when a storm hit.

Loads of beaches, walks and things to do in the area. House has plenty of room and lovely large kitchen and living room perfect for our group. Really enjoyed our stay.
