Really lovely place to stay! Beautiful and very large apartment with everything we needed for a weekend break. Great to have places to sit - or bath! - with a view of the boats and the water. We’ll be back.

Awel Deg certainly did its photos justice if not even exceeded them! The slated lobby was great for leaving shoes and general clutter in that we didn't want upstairs spoiling the calm, cool relaxed space upstairs. And wow what a view from the balcony! Fabulous for sitting with a cuppa or glass of wine watching the world go by and the tides ebb and flow. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.

This was a lovely place to stay with great views, and it's a property that can easily be reached by train. It's a bit of a hike up the hill into town, but there's a good bus service only a few minutes walk away. Watching the sunset from the balcony was an ideal way to wind down.

We had a lovely time at Awel Deg, such a beautiful space and what a view . Comfortable bed, great shower and an amazing bath with views over the harbour whilst luxuriating with a glass of wine.! Fishguard is a lovely little town with just enough shops and an amazing bakery. Really enjoyed the walks along the river from Lower Town and the Marine walk round the headland. Would definitely recommend this cottage.

Awel Deg is an exceptional property. You can stay put and pass the time away sitting on the balcony watching the world go by and marvelling at the beautiful sunsets. Or you can walk from the front door and pick up the coastal path and see the breathtaking scenery that this part of the world is famous for. This is the perfect place to explore West Wales and we hope to visit Awel Deg more times in the future.

Excellent place to stay for a few nights: stunning location next to the bay; spotlessly clean; well equipped and (important in February) warm. Nothing negative to say at all.

A beautiful apartment with stunning views of the estuary. Spotless and spacious. Wonderful bath with a view across the harbour. Fishguard is walkable and pleasant. The coast path is spectacular and from the doorstep. Thank you for a relaxing and unforgettable break. We hope to be back.

This is only the second time I have stayed in Wales. The cottage was very clean and tidy and ideally located. I had excellent stay and would highly recommend you. This was just what I needed to re charge my batteries. I will definitely re book with you again

Absolutely stunning property with amazing views of the Estuary. Great location for visiting Fishguard while enjoying the tranquility of the lower town quay. Property is incredibly spacious and yet you are drawn to the views at all times.

Awel Dag was a delightful property in a glorious part of Wales. We were looking for accommodation which was ‘dog free’ (so difficult these days to find self catering accommodation such as this). Awel Dag surpassed all expectations. The accompanying information about the local area was really useful and we particularly liked the visitors book with recommendations from previous holiday makers. This was our first cottage booked through Under the Thatch - thank you for the pre-holiday information. It was comprehensive and covered everything.

Lovely accommodation with stunning views of the estuary. It was clean, comfortable and very spacious for 2 people. We could have stayed in all day and looked at the views. We enjoyed walking around Fishguard and wished we had stayed longer than 3 nights to discover more of the area. Hopefully we can stay again in the future.

We loved our stay at Awel Deg.The cottage is so beautiful with so many wonderful personal touches. We felt at home straight away and loved every minute. The views of the harbour are incredible and watching the birds coming and going was stunning. Fishguard is so friendly and there is so much to see in the area. We were heartbroken to leave and would love to come back. Thank you.

Awel Deg is a luxurious apartment in a most beautiful setting. It is very light and airy and the balcony is an added bonus on which to relax and watch the world go by until the sun sets. It is a magical place and lots of thought has gone in to providing excellent appliances and furnishings with comfort in mind. A very friendly community with a cafe nearby; it was very difficult to return to normality!

What a fantastic Christmas we had in a superb location in a wonderful, warmer spacious home. Can’t wait to visit again when the weather is better and we can do some of the local walks we sadly missed. Thank you.

Awel Deg is a wonderful, spacious cottage in a fabulous spot. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the world go by and the tide flowing in and out with all the local bird life. We visited The Ship and Bessie's for drinks, had beautiful walks around Newport, Cwm yr Eglwys, Strumble, Abermawr each and the local headland. All in all, this accommodation and the area is highly recommended and I am sure we will be back.

We loved Awel Deg, Fishguard and the surrounding area. The property is stunning and the owners have thought of everything to help visitors enjoy their stay. We loved the collection of books, in particular, the Welsh ones, as we are learning Welsh. The local pubs and restaurants are great. We enjoyed pizza a the Ffwrn, live music at the Royal Oak, learning about the Invasion Tapestry (it's amazing) and had an exciting boat ride from Fishguard Harbour, where we saw a Dolphin, Seals and other wildlife. It was always great to return to Awel Deg at the end of the day. Diolch yn fawr.

Beautiful and stunningly appointed cottage in a perfect location for a much needed break from the hectic chaos of normal life. The peace and calm has been lovely, with incredible coastal walks and scenery not far from the doorstep. Thank you.

The flat is clean, comfortable and spacious, in a wonderful location, . The balcony and french window in the bedroom is a particular attraction. Sitting there watching the world go by was wonderful, particularly as we miraculously had very good weather while we were there, with a lot of sun which we needed very badly! The flat is well equipped apart from a couple of items which we could have done with - we would have appreciated a non-slip mat in the shower, and the kitchen had no oven gloves or dishcloths/scourers. Other than those minor details the place was nigh on perfect and we'd love to return some time, for longer than three nights! Many thanks.

Lle gwych i anadlu, arafu a mwynhau'r tywydd yn taro'r harbwr, heb son am gyfoeth arfordir Penfro tu hwnt. Mae popeth sydd ei angen yn Awel Deg - fel gwesty bwtic 5* on gydag enaid. A wonerful place t breathe, slow down and enjoy the drama of weather across the harbpur, as well as the wider attractions of the Pembrokeshire coast. Awel Deg has everything you need - it's like a 5* boutique hotel but with soul.
