Upstairs splits nicely into two wings, with two bedrooms and a quality shower room in each wing.Locations simply don't get better than this in West Wales, and it's no surprise that this property was used a set in the celebrated film of Under Milk Wood (with Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor). If you're also feeling the romance, or if you simply want to get out onto that amazing water, then just ask Ed the owner if you can borrow his double kayak (at own risk, buoyancy aids available).

- Fishguard has independent shops, tea & coffee houses, several pubs, ’Jane’s’ a great craft emporium (lovely lunches too) a leisure centre with a swimming pool and a small cinema. A Farmers Market is held in the Town Hall every Saturday morning with lots of lovely local goodies to purchase. Also in the town hall is the ’Last Invasion of Britain Tapestry’ -sewn by local needle workers to celebrate the centenary of this historic event.

Our stay at Gwêl y Cei was amazing. From the moment we parked outside we were impressed with the property, it was tastefully trimmed for Christmas without being over the top. The views from the house are lovely and it was great to just sit and watch the tide rising and falling in the harbour. We particularly liked the choice of spaces available in the house, from the comfy reading nook, to the very spacious kitchen area with the gorgeous view across the harbour. We would highly recommend Gwêl y Cei to anyone thinking of staying & would happily stay there again.
