A truly lovely 4 nights spent at this magical place. A starry sky on the first night followed by spectacular views out of the bedroom window in the morning. A visit from a black cat in the pretty, well designed gardens whilst we were having breakfast was delightful. The whole cottage is beautifully and thoughtfully designed and presented and we couldn’t fault it in any way. We did a fair bit of touring up and down the country lanes, a highlight being the coast and beach at Mwnt and the standing stones and stone circles dotted around the magnificent Presili Hills.

Wow, what a glorious place to stay. We had such a lovely stay here, the cottage itself is cosy, comfy, and has an amazing shower! The location is just phenomenal, the views are beautiful, and we had such a sense of peace during our stay - its such a quiet spot , surrounded by birdsong, trees, and greenery. We had a lovely couple of days walking, there are lots of places within easy reach. A truly incredible place to just get away from it all and recharge, I think we'll be back!

Our last 4 holidays have been at Under The Thatch properties and I am sure the next four will be too.We don't tend to go far from home, usually just over an hour away. The counties of West Wales are so varied that you don't have to go far for a totally different experience. Y Felin had been on our wish list for a while so we were very happy to see it was available for our anniversary weekend. One of us wants an idyllic reading break with walks on the doorstep, a sauna or hot tub , while the other is seeking landscapes to a paint and CAMRA real ale pubs within touching distance. Y Felin has all that and much more. Yoshi and Robin have created a haven of tranquility. A Welsh / Japanese naturalistic garden worthy of a Chelsea Gold surrounds the small but perfectly formed ancient mill. I have come home with lots of ideas and am coveting the moss clad stone wall and the garden pots and one day I will have a sauna as glorious as Y Felin's. Oh and the bed.... we are hard to please when it comes to beds.. but Y Felin's is a definite 11/10. Places new to us on this trip that we'd recommend Tafarn Sinc for beer and a home cooked meal with a huge welcome, Sailor's Safety for a treat by the sea , a trip to Bessie's pub is a must but take cash and be prepared to share your stories and Fforc in Narberth. It rained most of our visit and was unseasonably cold so we spent more time watching Carn Menyn than out exploring but the sun came out on our final day and we were rewarded with a walk to Carn Menyn via Carn Sian and Carn Bica with only the mountain ponies and Skylarks for company. Three days just wasn't enough time so we will just have to book again.

What a great place to stay! It's a beautiful cottage in peaceful surroundings, well located for visiting the area. The cottage itself is perfectly done, with everything you would need, and has a lovely garden where you can sit and watch the sunset. We'd return in a heartbeat!

An old farm mill beautifully converted to a cottage for two in a peaceful idyllic location. Great views and we felt very welcome; swallows, owls and cuckoo’s during our May visit and nicely situated to explore Pembrokeshire. Fantastic shower and the opportunity to use the sauna for a small fee. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay and would heartily recommend!

We had a very special week at Y Felin - the house is wonderful, not just characterful and atmospheric but really comfortable, with an excellent shower and luxurious king size bed and gorgeous ceramic artworks made by Robin. We loved our view from the window overlooking the bluestone outcrop where the inner circle of Stonehenge came from. There are fantastic walks with stone circles and hill forts - it's a real trip into prehistory. The silence is extraordinary at times with bursts of glorious birdsong. Tbh, we couldn't have enjoyed it more and hope to return in future. Many thanks indeed to our friendly but unobtrusive hosts, Robin and Yoshie!

We had an enjoyable spring break at Y Felin, a beautifully crafted house for two in a stunning location. We were not blessed with good weather and so the warm and cozy accommodation was very welcome - also it’s cleverly designed so that should it rain, you barely get wet! The area has plenty to offer for days out, plus of course the many hill and coastal walks. I think we covered all the UTT recommends and are always grateful for the helpful pointers! Y Felin has everything you need for a peaceful break, the owners Yoshi and Robyn are lovely, helpful and friendly. A real bonus to use Robyn’s beautiful ceramics. This was our fourth UTT break, each and every one has offered something different and unique. Thank you for giving us another memorable stay, we really enjoyed ourselves!

What a wonderful place. We cannot recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a peaceful break but in the lap of luxury look no further. Robin and Yoshie are fantastic hosts, really friendly and helpful, the cats pop by to make sure all is well and there are even resident barn owls. A really magical spot that we will definitely be coming back to.

A lovely peaceful place to stay with the sound of the stream trickling in the background and a view of the Preselli hills. The mill is cleverly furnished and didn't feel small, with all amentities we could wish for. We came to walk in the hills, and were able to do that from the door. The weather wasn't kind to us, but we'd like to return to spend more time on the little terrace or in the field below the mill. Also one of the comfiest beds we've ever slept in.

A blissful 10 nights at Y Felin. Robin and Yoshie were delightful hosts. The cottage was clean, beautifully furnished, and we had everything we could possibly need - from granola and olive oil in the cupboard to plenty of tablets for the washing machine (lots of swimming was done)! The gardens are beautiful. We loved the cats and chickens, and the sauna was an unexpected and magical treat. We would not hesitate in coming back - it feels truly like a home away from home.

We had a lovely week at Y Felin. It is a beautifully decorated and furnished cottage with everything you could need provided in the kitchen. The outside seating area is well thought out with seats in the sun and the shade (where we ate all our meals during the heatwave!). It’s in a peaceful and tranquil location with stunning views and walks from the door. Yoshi and Robin and great hosts and very helpful indeed. We’d love to go back. Thank you.

We had a wonderful few days at Y Felin. Such a tranquil place, with views to drown in. The cottage (Mill really!) is stunning inside, with everything you could need. Robin’s pottery is a tactile wonderment - the glazes are divine - and they are placed everywhere, inside and out for you to enjoy. We loved our little stay, were sad to leave and would love to return. It’s a perfect place to stay. Thank you

Yoshie and Robin are perfect hosts: this cottage is everything my sister and me had been hoping for! It is super cozy, with a great & comfy bed, a wood stove, a comfy couch and a fully equipped kitchen. Everything was spotlessly clean and arranged and decorated with much care, thought and love for details - you could definitely tell that it was the work of two artists. We loved every minute of our 3-nights-stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. There are great walks in the quiet countryside and the domain itself is very inviting to spend time exploring. Make sure to not miss Robin’s pottery, his work is amazing!
