What a lovely house! We, ten people and three generations, all had a wonderful time in this spacious and beautifully decorated holiday home. The house is well equipped and beautifully decorated house is a delight. The garden was ideal for sitting and relaxing or playing games. Dolgellau is a charming town and an excellent base for exploring the area by public transport as well as by car. We had a great holiday - thank you.

Tan Y Gader is a beautiful house set in the ideal spot. 5 mins walk in one direction and you are in the middle of Dolgellau. 20 mins in the opposite direction and you find woodlands, meadows and waterfalls. Perfect when holidaying with your dog. The 6 bedrooms are really comfortable, of good size and beautifully decorated. In summer it would be useful to have a lighter duvet but not a real problem. The sitting room is comfortable and could accommodate all of us (10) is we used the dining area. With a large party of adults it would be useful to have extra keys just incase the party had separate plans for the day. The garden was a delight and we spent an enjoyable time watching the birds. The kitchen is large and although it has everything in terms of a cooker, fridge freezer and dishwasher it fell a little short on the catering front. The cooker only had a single oven with integrated grill. Ideally if cooking for larger numbers (10-12) a double oven and separate grill would be more useful. We struggled to use the grill effectively as it wouldn't heat up fully. We couldn't find any equipment instructions so it's likely just our unfamiliarity with it's workings. A little spare storage for food and drinks that visitors bring would be useful We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tan Y Gader and would definitely recommend it to friends and revisit if we had a large group. Parking can be challenging at times (which we were advised of) but the locals are friendly and helpful and we never had an issue.. Neighbours are also lovely xx We would

We had a wonderful time in Tan y Gader. The house is lovely, clean, comfortable and well equipped.  The garden was a delight. It was great to be in the centre of such a vibrant attractive town. Three generations enjoyed the town, the cycle ride to Penmaenpool and back, Pizzeria Mawddach, Coed y Brenin centre, and just being comfortably in the house.  My daughter and her partner climbed Cader Idris too. Communication was also really good.

Tan y Cader is such a beautiful house right in the heart of Dolgellau. It is so well equipped with everything you might need. All the bedrooms comfortable & plenty of living space for a large group. There were 12 of us & we never once felt like we needed more space. We had such a fantastic time & are already looking when we can go back.

Tan y Gader provided a wonderful space for our Easter family gathering. beautifully decorated throughout with generous accomodation for relaxing and plenty of space for a large group. Although it is in the heart of the village the area is peaceful and quiet and the town of dollgellau charming. A hike up cader Idris which is within a short distance of the town rounded off a lovely few days.

A really beautiful house, done up wonderfully for a large number of people to live very comfortably. The town itself is great-packed with unspoiled houses and independent shops. The local walks were easily accessible and mountain walking would have been very much on the cards if it hadn't been for the weather. A very impressive holiday home.

Wow! This really is a stunning house. The bedrooms are huge and extremely comfortable. All the bathrooms, and there were many, were very luxurious. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into renovating this impressive house. We had an amazing weekend, Dolgellau is gorgeous and everyone we met was very friendly. We had beautiful walks along the estuary up Cader Idris and exploring the Dysynni valley. Can't wait to come back.

We had a lovely, relaxing stay at Tan y Gader, such a beautifully restored house, very comfortable with lots of interesting paintings and books. You can sense the great history of the house. The garden is a peaceful retreat with herbs growing by the kitchen door. Dolgellau is a perfect spot with plenty of independent shops including a great bakery. Beaches and mountains are close by. A perfect place to retreat and unwind; we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much.

Our party of three generations stayed at Tan y Gader. This spacious property has good living accommodation, large bedrooms and excellent bathroom facilities which proved ideal for our mixed aged group. We really appreciated the excellent location of Tan y Gader - we were able to walk easily from the house for both shopping and hill and river walks.
