A respite from the modern world, this is a simple, delightful retreat. This modern rustic property is unlike anything you'll find through your average holiday cottage agency. It is exactly what 'Under The Thatch' is all about - simple, rustic, and authentic, private...and very comfortable.
Originally built from local materials in an old-fashioned way, in just one night this is a typical croglofft cottage – an open-plan living space with a sleeping loft over. We're delighted to be agents for this peaceful, tranquil place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ty Unnos. The cottage was warm and comfortable. It had plenty of space for the two of us, with a particularly large bathroom (with bath, not shower). Maps were provided which helped with our exploration. We used the cottage as a base to visit the Botanical Gardens, Saundersfoot, Cenarth and the Dylan Thomas Birthday walk. We recommend the restaurant Lan Y Mor at Saundersfoot. Thank you.

Beautiful cottage, magical stay on a stormy weekend - so secure in the storm, the wind bellows to the wood burning stove. Woke up to the blackbird singing, blue skies and enjoyed stars the following night. Wonderful walks on the coast and nearby. Thank you, we'll be back soon.

Tŷ Unnos is a beautiful still place. We loved being there: some wonderful cycling, sea walking, bird and bat and moon watching, and just sitting. Thank you. Diolch yn fawr - lle bach hyfryd iawn. Eleri

We had a lovely weekend in this beautiful, peaceful cottage, discovering Carmarthenshire and nearby Pembrokeshire - it is well placed for both. The cottage has a paired back, simple aesthetic but is also warm and welcoming, with everything that we needed. I particularly enjoyed walking in the early morning, with a big mug of tea, around the private flowering meadow that sits alongside the cottage, a lovely surprise! We had a busy time but this would be a lovely place to stay for real peace and quiet - as warned, there is no internet! Perhaps there could have been a few interesting books or games available, we had been in too much of a hurry to think ahead. I would recommend this stay for singles or couples. Third stay with UTT and it didn’t disappoint, thank you to all.

Beautiful cottage in a quiet rural location. The cottage had everything we needed for the stay and was clean and well furnished. The phone signal and access to 4G was variable (which was advertised on the listing) so we brought books/board games and planned on where to visit in advance, it was nice to have a break from technology! We had a lovely stay. Thank you!

We loved our stay at Ty Unnos. What a delight to wake with a Teletubby sunrise just over the hill each morning. A stunning renovation, dressed beautifully with local artwork, handmade cushions. The track actually isn’t that bumpy, and ‘What3words’ got us there easily. Hopefully will return - the cottage is perfectly placed to explore this much loved part of West Wales.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the world. Not in any way a complaint but the kitchen is pretty basic so if you are planning on cooking up a storm this might not be right for you. It is perfectly functional. I loved staying here.
