Glasbury is a small village on the River Wye, beautifully placed between the literary town of Hay-on-Wye and Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons).

• Hay-on-Wye is just a few miles away, with its famous bookshops, independent shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as the annual Hay Festival and other literary events.

• The River Wye runs alongside Glasbury, with opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and riverside walks. There are also plenty of places nearby for wild swimming.

• The Black Mountains and Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) are on the doorstep, with wonderful walking and cycling country, from gentle riverside routes to more strenuous hill walks.

• Brecon is a short drive away, with a good range of shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, while the surrounding countryside is particularly lovely for exploring by car.
